ITINERARY
DAY 1 – ARR. BEIJING (-)
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Meet your experienced local guide and transfer to the hotel. Check in at your hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.
DAY 2 – BEIJING (B,L,D)
Full day visit the Temple of Heaven, an important site for the emperor worship, the largest square in the world – Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, where the last emperor resided. Enjoy a national dish, Peking Duck dinner as a welcome dinner.
DAY 3 – BEIJING (B)
Climb the Great Wall of China. The 4,000-mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible from the moon. Pass by 2008 Olympic Sites.
Evening, enjoy dinner at your own leisure.
DAY 4 – BEIJING TO XIAN (B)
Morning, explore the Summer Palace, an ancient royal resort. Cruise on the Kunming Lake. Fly to Xian, an ancient capital of China.
DAY 5 – XIAN (B,L)
Enjoy a full day excursion to the Eighth Wonders of the World, Terra Cotta Warriors Museum and visit the City Wall, the best reserved ancient military system. You will have a special dumpling lunch today. Explore some unique snacks at the Muslim Quarter.
DAY 6 – XIAN TO CHENGDU (B,D)
Fly to Chengdu , the birth place of Giant Pandas. With lunch stop, explore the city to Wuhou Shrine. It is dedicated to Zhege Liang, a noble and intelligent officials During the Three Kingdom period (220-800). Many Chinese follows the strategy adopted by him. Then, visit Jinli, one of the oldest street in Chengdu. Here you will see many traditional Sichuan’s customs, and souvenirs. You also have to try the many tasteful Sichuan snacks. This evening, you will enjoy the famous Hot Pot Dinner.
DAY 7 – CHENGDU (B)
Begin your morning by visiting the famous Panda Breeding Center to see both adult and baby pandas; this is a great opportunity to take pictures with the lovely pandas. This afternoon, tour the Taoist temple, Green Ram Temple; where you will find the beautiful garden, pagoda and also learn about the Yin and Yang philosophy. Tonight, enjoy a colorful Sichuan Opera Show, an unique performing arts which captures the world attention.
DAY 8 – CHENGDU TO SHANGHAI (B)
Early morning, fly to Shanghai, also known as “Paris in the East.” Explore the past, present and future of Shanghai by walking along the Bund. Continue to Yu Garden with its largest outdoor bazaar . Learn about the silk weaving at the Silk weaving workshop. Chinese silk is one of the best souvenirs to bring home. Pass by the beautiful French concessions and the People square. Enjoy a farewell dinner.
DAY 9 – SHANGHAI (B)
Full day free at leisure or join an optional tour to Suzhou, “Venice of the East” and best known as the Garden City of China.
DAY 10 – SHANGHAI DEPT. (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to home.
